Monday, February 13th, 2012 by adrx # BentleyNow the new Continental GT 4-seat coupe builds on the success of the iconic predecessor, capturing the spirit of the GT but with a higher standard of practicality of design, engineering, luxury, craftsmanship, dynamic performance, and improved everyday. A new body beautiful carvings provide a sharp GT coupe and even, more defined appearance. Contemporary interior design offers a new level of cabin comfort and luxury crafts. Chairs, for example, provide greater support and back of the leg-room; dashboard sweeps even more style and modernity. The new feature touchscreen infotainment systems state-of-the-art navigation, Google Maps and entertainment while the latest fashion Balanced Radiator speaker technology and Dirac Dimension ™ digital sound processing provide enhanced audio quality.
Recognized Bentley 6-liter, 12 cylinder, twin-turbocharged powertrain has now raised the output power of 575PS (567bhp/423kW) and 700nm (£ 516 ft) of torque and is mated to a new transmission that allows multiple downshifts Quickshift. Thanks to advanced technology FlexFuel also can run on either standard unleaded petrol (gasoline) and sustainable bioethanol (up to E85) or mixture of both.
At the end of 2011 a high-output all-new, 8-cylinder will also be available to order. This advanced power unit will provide 40 percent reduction in emissions compared with the W12 engine and will offer class-leading CO2 emissions-to-power ratio with the Bentley’s performance and improvement.
Both engines are coupled with all-wheel drive system with its sporty rear torque bias 40:60 (50:50 compared to the bias of the original Continental GT), minimize understeer when cornering hard and let the experienced driver to control the car line and the balance through the throttle control right.
